Prayer Walk

For Lydia's Place Programs
October 1st, 5pm - 8pm
565 Jerry Smith Dr., Watkinsville, GA 30677
Lydia’s Place has a new office and warehouse. Before we move in, we would like to have time to pray for our work as an organization, and the hope for a better future for the friends we serve. This will be a drop in event with self paced prayer stations to allow for social distancing during COVID-19.

At Lydia’s Place we believe in the power of prayer and value the faithful support our prayer partners in and around this community. We would like to invite you to join us on October 1, 2020 for a PRAYER WALK between 5:00 – 8:00 pm at our new location located at 565 Jerry Smith Dr. Watkinsville, GA.

Come pray specifically with us, learn more about the services Lydia’s Place offers, discover ways to get involved, experience Java Joy from Extra Special People and the power of our community when we come together.

What is Prayer-Walking?

Prayer allows us to tap into God’s power.  Realizing this, we can know that concentrated prayer has the power to literally change the world around us.  A great way to put prayers into motion is through prayer-walking.

Prayer-walking involves taking our prayers to the very places where we desire to see God’s presence manifested and our prayers answered.  It is the powerful dynamic of prayer on-site with insight from God’s sight.

Since Jesus lives within each of us and the Holy Spirit works through you, there is a sense that your prayer-walking provides light in dark places and salt in unsavory places (Matthew 5:13-16).
During this time there will be multiple stations that you can go through that will include a scripture and an opportunity for you to pray around the areas of spiritual, emotional and mental wellbeing for those involved in each area of ministry that this organization serves.  As you walk & pray, you will find God opens your eyes and ears as he prepares your heart to see from His perspective the areas of need and opportunity.

Prayer-Walking and praying “on location” at Lydia’s Place allows each participant to pray with more intensity for the ministry of this organization, the students it serves, as well as this community.  After the prayer journey is over, it is our hope that you will have a better understanding of this organization & how God is moving through the various aspects of our ministry.  We ask that you continue to be in prayer for all those that are touched by this organization and if you would like to become more involved with Lydia’s Place please contact us at

Lydia's Place values the safety and health of all of our participants and volunteers. Due to COVID-19 this will be a continuous event. Anyone that chooses to participate will be able to start and stop anytime between 5:00 – 8:00 pm.  This will allow for social distancing and minimizing the number of people going through the Prayer Walk at any given time.  We ask all that attend to follow applicable health and safety protocols, including social distancing and wearing a face mask. Extra masks and hand sanitizer will be provided on-site.

If you have any questions regarding COVID-19 and this event, please contact us at
